Okene Journal of Education is a product of quest for advancement of knowledge in hthe frontiers of Teacher Education in Nigeria. It was officially launched inJuly, 2008 by the Federal College of Education Chapter of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COAESU). As scholars explore new problems, analyze them and attempt to proffer solution to them through research, particularly in the area of education. Findings of such academic exercise are published in this journal. The resultant effect of such publication is that the journal itself becomes a reference point for young researchers, practicing teachers, teacher educators and ultimately a repository of knowledge for scholars in the field of teacher Education in Nigeria. The current edition contains several well researched empirical and theoretical articles in various areas of education. The contributors cut across various and several tertiary institutions across the nation and their papers equally cut across several disciplines. This tallies with the objective of OJED in presenting you a journal that is broad based, but yet deep in reach. The Editorial Board wishes to register its unreserved post-humours appreciation to the Pioneer Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Eyanro, P.A whose contribution to the substance of this journal cannot be quantified. Mall. Musa Jibrin who has been the Scribe of the Editorial Board has left his footprint on the sand of history.
